Looks like, we were right ! Google has now officially announced that it considers page speed as a possible ranking factor. Matt Cutts says it might not be significant enough a factor to drastically change the SERPs results, but its only one among the numerous search engine factors that might help in the bigger push of your site showing up high for the relevant results.

My take is that as responsible webmasters, we should consider making the pages load faster and quicker, if they don’t. Once we have a word from Google, you wouldn’t want to take chances, do you ?

Oh ! And those of you who followed this post earlier (Tools to make your site load faster / speed up your site), would have already figured out how to make your site load faster. Benefits of following DailyBloggr, eh ? http://www.dailybloggr.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif
