If you’re a movie lover like me, you’d have an IMDB account, a catalog of the entire list of movies you’ve seen, some odd 8 movies in the download queue (oops ! strike that ) and ask silly questions like this on facebook. Honestly, social media has taken over my movie interests in a very big way. I have at least 3 movie related apps on my Android. Anyways, here are 10 such cool iPhone and Android apps for movie lovers out there. Hope you like them.

1. Flixter

The obvious one and the most popular. It lets you get the latest listings of the cinemas and movies around you using GPS technology. Also it has a dedicated and loyal user base that rates movies based on reviews and in my experience these are one of the best and authentic user reviews you can get.

2. Naviflix movie app for iPhone

Naviflix is a new iPhone app dedicated to UAE movie lovers. It has all the details on movie timings, movie listings, trailers, cinemas and even social networking features (facebook and twitter sharing) to plan movie outings with your friends. An iPad and Android version is coming soon.

3. Movie genie for IMDB

Movie genie is an iPhone app for the IMDB addict. Its not the native IMDB app, but a third party one that does justice to the website. It has almost everything you get on the IMDB website, search by title, genre, author view rating etc.

4. Movie Fone

An iPhone app that gets you information on latest movie listings, movie news and other information. It gives you more of information about a movie, so you can decide whether to watch or not.

5. Run Pee

An amazing app that’s really impressive in concept. It lets you know what time is best for you to run for a pee in between a movie. Sort of a timer that tell you what part (exact time frame) of the movie is best to take a piss and return. The timings are based on what timings inside a story is boring, and is worth a miss. Nice concept right ?

6. Movie Finder app for Android

Gives you movie listings, movie timings, show times, cinemas info, theatre contact, google map info etc. Everything you need for that perfect movie day out.
