whats this all, i have been assuming that building no follow links will add nothing to the ranking of any keyword, but have come to know that no follow html tags have no impact on links crawling, webmaster tools show off the links from the no follow type with the do follow, is this ok to post no follow links are they same as do follow..?

Do Follow and No Follow links are not same. Do Follow links pass link juice to tell search engines to follow the link, where as No Follow links do not pass link juice and do not provide any information to the search engines about the links.
