Anyone know some good human edited directories to submit links too?

Other than dmoz and Yahoo I don't know any good ones. There is another, but, I don't remember the name of it off hand. It's a couple years old and some of dmoz editors were invited to edit. They get paid per site reviewed from what I understand.

I've applied to be an editor at DMOZ now. I am not sure whether it will be agreed or not, but no harm in trying. :D

I am a meta editor at dmoz although I'm not as active as I once was. I got accepted in 1998 shortly after it was opened and was promoted to meta in 2001.

Yes they are.

I'm not going to hold my breath but I'll be hoping that I can get in. It seems to be a useful resource.

I think a lot of other directories scrape it, to get their own directories filled. So in essence getting accepted to DMOZ can get you a lot more than one back link.

Hundreds of thousands of sites use dmoz data so a link in there goes a long way.
