Directories aren't what they once where. At one time getting listed in a directory was the holy grail. Traffic woulf flow in like never before.

 

Here’s a list of popular website directories:

  1. DMOZ (Open Directory Project): A comprehensive human-edited directory of websites. No longer accepts submissions.
  2. Curlie (DMOZ Replacement): Editors got together and created Curlie with data and tools avaialable at DMOZ. You can apply to be an editor and submit your sites.
  3. Yahoo Directory: Although it has been discontinued, it was once a popular directory; some similar alternatives exist.
  4. Best of the Web: A paid directory that categorizes websites into various topics.
  5. BOTW.org: A directory that allows users to submit their websites for inclusion.
  6. Yahoo Local: Focuses on local businesses and services, providing listings and reviews.
  7. Yellow Pages: A well-known directory for businesses, primarily in the U.S.
