I ran a few sites that were really only a hobby. I am looking to start a site in my field, electronics design. I would like to make some money off this too.

How should I go about getting this project off the ground?

Where can I advertise and get ROI on my investment?

Build the site. After it’s built go to other sites that are in the samne field and ask to exchange links. Post an opening new item on some of the online mags in your field.

It’s hard work. It will pay off in the end.

Well, I always find Adsense too useful when it comes to monetize a website. You can try it on any niche (family friendly topics). If you can build north American traffic, you can earn well. I have been using Adsense on my sites for almost 9 years and I find it to be the best monetization method.
