I know that some of you have experience moving from vb to IPB. I'm about to do that with a nice sized forum and no vbseo, thankfully. Wondering what you guys have done to optimize your site and if you did anything special given the existing forum content.

That community had vbseo installed. With no vbseo and only use stock vbulletin urls the tools IPB gives to 301 the old vbulletin urls will make it easier for you then it was for me.

You won't lose any of your currently indexed content. In time the old vbulletin url's will be replaced with new IPB url's. All your current links will continue to work and will redirect to the new url's.

vbseo has a tool to direct all your old traffic
