The ones who create original content and the ones who just copy it in one click. Well, technically this is not a problem if you have your basics right. That is, if your website is already well indexed on Google, and your new content gets indexed on Google quickly. You got to have lot of backlinks, a decent traffic, proper sitemaps, Robots.txt and all the basics covered for this. But websites copying your content (called scraper websites) could be a problem if you dont have the above mentioned things in place. That is not being in Google index for most of your content and fresh/new content not getting indexed quick. In this case, the copy website gets indexed on Google and technically becomes the Original content. Because, as far as Google is concerned, what it sees first is original content. How to stop websites copying content from ranking on Google Tell Google. Yes, Google knows that there is a problem here with websites that copy content. And it is giving all webmasters a chance to tell them your problems. Matt Cutts, Search Engineer at Google had tweeted about this the other day and linked to a Google document where you can report the scraper website to Google. You must tell Google (via this form) the search query for which the copy website is ranking for. The url of both yours and the other website, and additional details if any. Have to tell you that this is a part of an experiment Google is doing to improve their algorithm fighting against scraper websites and not a spam detection tool. However, I think its a good move by Google to find and kill scraper websites (websites that copy content).
