Well, Google Offers, technically. If you didnt know yet, Google Offers is Googles own version of deals and coupons. Google Offers had been rolled out experimentally to selected cities recently.

But today, its reported that Google actually pushed a Google Offers deal on its homepage in selected regions like NY, USA.

A small blurb was seen below the search box explaining the deal, clicking on which would take the user to the offers page.

This is an odd step or rather bold step taken by Google, since Google is known to be fiercely protective of their homepage real estate and pretty much avoids using it for even the most important things.

It might very well be possible that Google deals/ Offers are going live to more cities and this is a user test going on at the Google labs.
